My name is Dylan Leach.

I am from El Segundo which is a small beach town right outside of Los Angeles. I go to Loyola University Chicago. I am a Sophomore Global Studies Major. I also have a double minor in Italian and Political Science. I have visited Italy once before when I was fourteen with my family. We went all over including Rome, Positano, Venice, and Naples. My family is Italian so while I have only traveled here once before, I have been surrounded by Italian influences my entire life.

I love all types of art including painting and any kind of multimedia craft. I play electric guitar and I love all kinds of music. I consider myself a writer, my interests leaning towards creative fiction and poetry. I also love running, hiking, swimming, and being outside. I consider myself a coffee fanatic and searching for new and unique coffee shops is one of my favorite hobbies. I love traveling and meeting new and interesting people everywhere I go. I am taking this class so that I will be more knowledgeable about Italian food and wine when traveling around Italy and ordering for myself and others. They are such large aspects of Italian culture. I realize that knowing anything about them will greatly enhance my experience here and be very valuable life skills.
